The Pioneer PL-117D is a classic full-automatic belt-drive turntable from the late 1970s, a period widely considered the golden age of Japanese hifi engineering. This particular unit features the rare <E•P> mark on the rear, indicating it was originally purchased through a US military outpost in Japan. Built with a heavy wood-grain vinyl cabinet and a precision S-shaped tonearm, this model offers a warm, analog sound profile and reliable automatic operation that appeals to both vintage collectors and modern audiophiles.

Condition: The turntable is in good cosmetic and mechanical condition. Both speeds have been tested and are fully functional. The automatic tonearm retract mechanism is working correctly. The tonearm lock has broken off; however, the lock piece is included and stored within the manual's taped-shut sleeve. The unit requires a new stylus, and a new cartridge is recommended for best performance. The wood-grain cabinet shows light surface wear on edges. The dust cover remains intact with some visible surface scuffing. Attached power and RCA cables are in good condition. Sold with original manual.
