The EXFO FTB-500 is a rugged, portable multi-slot modular platform designed for advanced optical fibre characterisation and network testing. This system is configured with two key dispersion measurement modules: the FTB-5500B Polarisation Mode Dispersion (PMD) Analyser covering O to U band (1260–1675 nm), and the FTB-5800 Chromatic Dispersion (CD) Analyser with full C+L band capability (1530–1625 nm). Together, they deliver a complete field-ready dispersion test solution suitable for DWDM long-haul and ultra-long-haul network qualification, supporting data rates up to 40/100 Gbit/s and beyond.
