Toys, Books, Cameras & More
About this product: The Literati was Sharper Image's 2010 entry into the e-reader market, positioned as an alternative to the Kindle. Unlike most e-readers of its era, it used a color LCD display rather than e-ink, and featured a full physical QWERTY keyboard along with Wi-Fi for downloading books. It originally accessed a dedicated online bookstore.
Important buyer note: The original Literati bookstore/download service has been discontinued for years, which limits the device's ability to purchase or download new titles from the original source. Please buy with that in mind.
Pre-owned with visible cosmetic wear. The screen has noticeable scratches and scuffs that are visible on close inspection. The metal back panel shows significant scratching across its surface. The speaker grille area on the back appears to have black tape or foam residue covering it — please review photos carefully. The white plastic frame shows minor wear.
The device powers on successfully — the boot screen and setup screen are shown in the listing photos. It is being sold as functional but cosmetically worn. Because the original online bookstore is no longer active, functionality tied to that service cannot be verified. Sold as-is with no returns unless materially misdescribed.
