Original 10 Francs circulation coin dated 1948, issued during the French Fourth Republic.
Designed by Pierre Turin, the obverse depicts Marianne wearing a Phrygian cap with an olive branch, surrounded by the inscription REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE.
The reverse features the denomination 10 FRANCS, framed by wheat ears above the French national motto:
LIBERTÉ – ÉGALITÉ – FRATERNITÉ
