Svegards Markaryd 

of Sweden

circa 1960s/70s

Absolutely stunning set of 6 dining chairs

including 4 side chairs and 2 armed carver chairs

Made with solid rosewood, with an elegant and classic ladderback design

which has a beautiful, sleek and curvaceous form that oozes style and grace

With their original oatmeal upholstery, which is in fabulous and clean condition

(just one small faint mark to one chair, which is barely noticeable due to the multicoloured tweed fabric)

The rosewood frames are absolutely gorgeous, with amazing wood grain patterning running throughout

with various hues and colours. 

The 2 carvers chairs are a darker, deeper colouring, 

due to the fact they were kept in a separate room away from the sun and have therefore retained

their original colouring whereas the side chairs, which have had more use, have aged to a lighter wood tone

as rosewood tends to do but still keeping their dark patterning running through them.

The whole set is a delight of patterns, hues and wood tones that all work beautifully together

In absolutely excellent condition

Very sturdy and solid chairs, no wobbles or loose joints

The frames are in excellent condition with barely a mark on them

The upholstery is in great condition, no holes or tears, very clean with just one small mark

to one chair.

The frames have been cleaned and oiled and all upholstery cleaned

This set has been lovingly cared for throughout their long life and will grace any home for years to come
