Antique Chinese carved and giltwood architectural panel, dating to the late Qing period.

Originally made as a decorative upper panel from a traditional Chinese canopy / wedding bed, with a distinctive curved form and a continuous carved figural narrative scene.

The panel retains its old dark lacquered finish with gilt and painted decoration. At approximately 86 cm wide, it has strong decorative presence and now works particularly well as an individual wall-mounted artwork.

Size: approximately 86 cm wide × 36 cm high at the highest point.
