A young single malt from Nc’nean bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company, this Batch #2 release was matured in oak and bottled at 59.8% ABV. Limited to 321 bottles.

Nc’nean is known for its modern, sustainable distilling approach and fruit-forward Highland spirit style. The oak maturation adds early structure and sweetness, supporting the distillery’s fresh, cereal and orchard fruit character in a lively, high-strength small-batch release.

Colour: Pale gold with sunlit straw tones and a whisper of honey, radiant and fresh in the glass.

Nose: Juicy orchard fruits—ripe pear and crisp green apple—lead the nose, lifted by pale vanilla and a touch of honey from oak. Fresh cereal notes and barley sweetness mingle with a hint of malt, while delicate oak spice adds backbone. At 59.8% ABV the aroma stays bright and intense, with citrus rind echoing a lively, youthful Highland character.

Palate: High-strength yet polished, this whisky layers crisp cereal with bright orchard fruits—green apple, pear and quince—over vanilla-oak sweetness. The oak brings structure and spice, while the mouthfeel stays lively and slightly viscous. The finish is long and fruity, with a warm peppery kick and lingering oak echoes.

Finish: Long, warm finish dominated by orchard fruit and cereal sweetness, tempered by oak spice and vanilla. A peppery tingle from the high ABV lingers as the fruit recedes, leaving a clean, toasted-nut sweetness with hints of almond and wood spice.
