This listing is for an antique photo of a high school football team.

The photo is from 1906. It depicts the football team of the Hartford (Connecticut) Public High School. One of the players in this photo is Walter Batterson (1887-1957). He was the team’s football captain in 1905. Batterson lived on to become the mayor of Hartford. Hartford’s largest park (Batterson Park) is named after him. Batterson is the boy wearing the “H” logo sweater (see 3rd photo zoomed in).

This cabinet photo is in overall good condition. Some worn away corners to the matting.

The photo (with cabinet style board matting) measures about 12 x 10 inches and the frame measures about 16.5 x 13.5 inches
