ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Keith Murray is known for his sleek, geometric forms and monochrome glazes. He created affordable, stylish vases, bowls and tableware distinguished by incised horizontal banding and elegant proportions. His early hand‑thrown pieces, often in
green, straw or grey, became highly desirable and helped revitalise Wedgwood’s market appeal. Murray later expanded into slip‑cast wares and limited pattern designs, but his enduring legacy lies in establishing a clean, modern aesthetic that profoundly shaped Wedgwood’s identity.
