Product Description
The Trimble HPB450 (P/N PDL4535) is Trimble's High Power Base radio for GPS/GNSS surveying — the most powerful radio of its type in the surveying industry. With a 35-watt selectable output in the 450-470 MHz UHF band, the HPB450 dramatically extends RTK correction range from a base station to your rovers, making it ideal for large sites, corridor work, and locations with line-of-sight challenges.
Two intelligent features set the HPB450 apart: AutoBase / AutoRover technology automatically scans available channels and locks onto the best one for transmission, and Forward Error Correction (FEC) improves broadcast range and noise immunity in RF-noisy environments. Over-the-air data rates of 4800, 9600, and 19,200 bps keep latency low for high-precision RTK positioning, and 20 MHz channel splits give you flexibility in licensed bands.
The HPB450 pairs with any Trimble GPS/GNSS base station with a serial output (R7, R8, NetR5, NetR9, 5700/5800, SPS-series, and others) and broadcasts corrections to Trimble rovers equipped with internal or external 450 MHz UHF radios. Powers from any 9-16 V DC source — the included SAE crocodile-clip cable connects directly to a standard 12V battery for all-day field operation. Built-in tripod mounts let you stake out a base position cleanly.
