This beautiful teapot was crafted by Shaw and Fisher in Sheffield in the mid-1800s.

Active in Sheffield, England, from roughly 1833 until 1894, the company was highly celebrated for producing exceptional household hollowware, specifically tea and coffee sets, teapots, and ornate serving dishes.

By the 1850s, the company was actively exporting large quantities of its wares to New York and eventually expanded its distribution to Australia and New Zealand.

Beautiful, absolutely fantastic form with subtle repousse decorations in true Victorian fashion. A real work of art from the most interesting period.

The mark at the bottom reads "Shaw & Fisher Sheffield" and model number 1579. This mark has been in use by the company until 1872.

The teapot is in good condition with very minor age-related wear. Thе feet are pushed up a little and show some old pewter repairs on the inside, but not on the outside 

The teapot is 10" long and 8" tall.
