The APO-SKOPAR 75mm F2.8 VM is a manual focus medium telephoto lens optimized for full-frame M-mount sensors. Its newly designed optical system utilizes anomalous partial dispersion glass in four of its seven elements (six groups). In addition to high image quality thanks to its apochromatic design that minimizes axial chromatic aberration, its simple structure, which allows the entire lens to extend, and its limited aperture of F2.8, result in a compact size comparable to a standard lens, with a total length of 44mm from the mount and a filter diameter of φ43mm. Weighing only 191g, it offers excellent portability and eliminates vignetting when using an optical rangefinder.
Designed for use with rangefinder-coupled digital and film cameras. Equipped with a high-precision rangefinder coupling mechanism, it offers the silky smooth operation of an all-metal helicoid ring, along with the traditional enjoyment of focusing with an optical rangefinder. The minimum focusing distance for rangefinder coupling is 0.7m (may vary depending on the camera).
It can also be attached to Sony E-mount, Fujifilm X-mount, and Nikon Z-mount digital cameras via a separately sold genuine mount adapter. Two exterior finishes are available: silver and black. A dedicated dome-shaped metal hood is included, designed with a protrusion of only 3mm to eliminate interference with the shooting frame when attached.
