Condition Description
This gold-leaf trimmed shikishi (autograph board) is hand-signed by Ozeki Aonishiki Arata (安青錦 新大) of Ajigawa stable (安治川部屋), featuring his bold brush-written shikona in sumi ink alongside a vivid red tegata (handprint) and his official red name seal. A second red seal in the upper right reads "大関" (Ozeki), marking his rank at the time of signing. Aonishiki — born Danylo Yavhusishyn in Vinnytsia, Ukraine — was promoted to Ozeki in November 2025 after just 14 tournaments from his debut, the fastest promotion since the six-tournament system began in 1958, surpassing Kotooshu's long-standing record. Ink and handprint remain vivid; board shows light handling wear consistent with careful storage.
