Base Model Introduction: Mao Guoqiang (stage name: Yishu), male, born in 1945 in Yixing, Jiangsu Province. He is a Chinese Master of Craftsmanship, a Jiangsu Master of Craftsmanship, a Researcher-level Senior Master Craftsman of the Art of Craftsmanship, a Master of Ceramic Art, a Lifelong Member of the Chinese Ceramic Art Research Society, a Member of the Chinese Artistic Folk Artists Association, a Visiting Professor at Harbin Normal University. In 1958, he entered the Yixing Purple Clay Craftsmanship Factory and studied pottery engraving under Ren Gan Ting. In 1987, he attended correspondence courses at the Henan Calligraphy Research Institute. His works "12 Nosepipe Vases" and "Five Purple Clay Hanging Plates" won the first and second prizes in the National Ceramic Creation and Design Competition in 1982, and "Heart Sutra Six Panels" won the second prize in the Fifth Ceramic Design and Creation Competition in 1994. In 2008, he was awarded the title of Jiangsu Province Master of Craftsmanship of the Fourth Time, and in 2018, he was selected as a Master of Craftsmanship of the Seventh Time of China.  Collapse  Details
