This is a rarer dated collectable because it is during the transition years before and during when Lesney products who founded Matchbox filed for bankruptcy, the motorbike has the date 1977 and Macau stamped on the base, the box has 1981 printed on it. This shows it was still registered to Lesney but production was in transition to Macau by Matchbox International.
