The Fujikura 90S is a professional single-fibre core alignment fusion splicer designed for field use across a wide range of applications including FTTx deployments, long-haul terrestrial and submarine cable splicing, bend-insensitive fibres, loose buffer fibres, and splice-on connectors. It features Active Fusion Control (AFC) technology — analysing cleave end-face profiles in real time to apply optimal arc power and deliver consistently low-loss splices even with poor-quality cleaves. Combined with Active Blade Management via Bluetooth connectivity to the included CT50 cleaver, the 90S automates blade wear monitoring and blade rotation, eliminating the need for manual cleaver maintenance. This unit has been serviced by a Fujikura authorised service centre as recently as April 2026, with the next service not due until April 2027.
