Product Summary: This is a rare, exceptionally wide-shaped Japanese Natural Whetstone (JNAT) from the world-famous Nakayama mine (Kato Mine) in Kyoto, Japan. It features the highly prized Tomae layer, known for creating an incredibly sharp, refined edge. Thanks to its rare, broad width, this stone is perfectly suited for sharpening kitchen knives, wide woodworker planes (Kanna), chisels (Nomi), and razor honing.
Condition: Unused condition (Vintage old stock). The sharpening surface is highly uniform and in beautiful shape, with no major natural lines or cracks that could interfere with sharpening. As this is a hand-mined natural stone, please expect minor cosmetic wear from long-term storage.

Please inspect all high-resolution photos carefully to confirm the surface details and condition before purchasing.
