A pair of cute litlle 8 inch 1960s Penny Brite dolls, with a blonde friend and additional clothing, some of which I think is original. They have no nibbles or staining, just a few imperfections which are typical for the age.
The doll with the slightly darker hair is marked 'Deluxe Reading' and I think that she is a first issue doll. She's overall in good order but has a few hair plugs missing and a slight trim at the front. There is also a bit of paint missing from one eye and she has a single red shoe
The one with the lighter hair is marked 'Hong Kong', and has numbers on the back of her head. She has a slight lump on one lower leg, which would be how she was made. I think that she is a later issue of Penny Brite rather than a clone. She wears her original red dress and white shoes, which may not be original as they are a bit small for her.
The other clothing has no labels, but the check coat, skirt and hat are definitely original - I think the outfit is called Singing in the Rain. The coat has damage to a shoulder seam at the back.
I think that most of the other items may also be original. They are in good condition mostly but but some need replacement press-studs and the red top has open shoulder seams.
