A vintage Japanese miniature Samurai warrior helmet ("Kabuto") made for Boys' Day (Children's Day) display. According to the original maker's plaque, this helmet was crafted by Heian Takehisa (平安武久) in Kyoto and supervised by Kyugetsu (久月), one of Japan's best-known manufacturers of traditional festival dolls and seasonal decorations.

Please note that the original display cloth was missing. A high-quality pre-owned genuine silk fukusa has been included as a replacement. Although it is not the original factory-supplied cloth, it is an authentic vintage silk piece that complements the display very well.

In Japan, families with boys traditionally display miniature samurai helmets or armor on Children's Day (May 5) as symbols of protection, good health, courage, and wishes for healthy growth.

[IMPORTANT Notice to U.S. Buyers]
As of October 17, 2025, eBay requires Japanese sellers to ship to the U.S. under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). We cover all import taxes, fees, and customs duties for U.S. buyers, so you should not be required to pay any additional costs upon delivery.

[IMPORTANT Notice to non-U.S. Buyers]
We suggest making a discounted offer first or contacting us for a discount if you like, because your order will be shipped from Japan under DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) and may be subject to import taxes, fees, and customs duties levied by your local customs office, which vary according to your local regulations. This allows us to adjust the price so the total cost remains reasonable for you.
