For sale is an odd set of three genuine antique hollow brass finials featuring
a classic, highly desirable spherical ball silhouette. These pieces have an
excellent authentic feel and a slightly smaller, more compact profile than
standard larger bedstead finials.
Each piece
features a stepped neck leading to a flat base with a centered, female threaded
screw hole, making them ready to mount directly onto threaded rods or bolts.
They display a beautiful, deeply weathered dark olive-brown and ochre patina
with rich areas of heavy, textured surface tarnish, historic mineral scaling,
and variegated oxidation patterns across the set. This unique weathering gives
them immense rustic architectural salvage character. They can be left
unpolished for an authentic vintage look or cleaned back to a bright golden
brass shine.
Perfect for
replacement on traditional iron/brass bedsteads, capping vintage curtain pole
rails, or using as decorative architectural gate/post toppers.

Authentic salvaged antique condition. Features a heavily aged, characterful
patina with textured surface oxidation, mineral scaling, and tarnish consistent
with age and long-term storage. Structurally sound with clean threaded mounting
bases. Please note that two of the three finials exhibit a small, shallow
vintage indent on their top domes as shown in the close-up photos, which is
standard for hollow metal architectural salvage of this age and does not affect
