COMPATIBILITY & SETUP
The SN5531 is an enterprise session border router and VoIP gateway that connects ISDN BRI (ISDN2/S0) lines, ISDN PBXs or ISDN terminals to a SIP VoIP network. Its 8 BRI ports are each configurable as TE or NT, so you can connect telco ISDN lines, an ISDN PBX or ISDN phones/terminals, with conversion between ISDN and IP. As an eSBC it adds security (SIP-TLS, SRTP, stateful firewall) for safe connection to SIP trunks or the internet, and the high-precision 5 ppm clock suits ISDN and DECT environments.
