The ruby owes its name to its red color. It was only around 1800 that it was attached, like sapphire, to the corundum group. The red color is not identical in all rubies from the same deposit, so it does not allow us to determine the origin of a stone. The most sought-after of all colors is called "pigeon blood", a pure red with a hint of blue. The color, often unevenly distributed in streaks or spots, is attributed to the presence of chromium, with a contribution of iron for brown tones. Less pleasant colors are improved by heat treatment. Raw ruby is often rolled, greasy in appearance; once cut, its luster is close to that of a diamond. Rubies and sapphires are the hardest minerals after diamonds.
Inclusions are very common. They do not determine the quality of the gem; they guarantee its authenticity of natural ruby compared to synthetic rubies.

In such a case, A BIJOUX must, within THIRTY DAYS of exercising the right of withdrawal, credit the consumer with a credit or reimburse the sums paid. Returns / Exchanges: - Before any return, please obtain agreement by email, in order to process the return in the best conditions. - An item can be returned to us within 15 days of dispatch (postmark taken as proof) provided that it has not been worn and is returned in its original packaging. - Round-trip postal costs caused by a return are the responsibility of A Bijoux after the customer's request. - We will exchange the item for another model. - A refund will be possible IN THE FORM OF A CREDIT.
