The Sakura Tissue-Tek Prisma (Prisma-E2D) and Tissue-Tek Film (Film-E2) form a complete integrated histopathology staining and coverslipping workstation designed for high-throughput pathology and histology laboratories. The Prisma is a fully automated robotic slide stainer capable of running concurrent H&E, special stain, and cytology protocols with continuous loading, while the Film coverslipper applies xylene-activated resin-coated coverslipping film at high speed, eliminating the need for cover glass and liquid mounting media. Together, the two instruments can be linked to create a true walk-away staining and coverslipping system — the Prisma feeds directly into the Film, with slides transferred automatically for coverslipping immediately after staining.
