Circa 1970 Silver plated Souvenir Spoon commemorating a visit to San Diego, California. Circular mark on the back of the handle printed "Made in Holland". The handle finial features a dolphin or porpoise jumping over a banner that reads "CALIF. SAN DIEGO". The bowl of the spoon features a detailed, embossed relief scene of palm trees on a beach, a common image associated with California's coastline.

The spoon was produced in the Netherlands, most likely by Klepa Arts in Holland, or a similar maker such as MESKER or DAI.  This type of "Made in Holland" souvenir spoons was widely popular in the mid-to-late 20th century.
