Technical Description

Obverse: Features a central five-sided Pentagon cutout displaying the 4-star Flag Officer standard of the VCSA (diagonally/quarterly divided white and red flag with four stars surrounding a large central star behind the Department of the Army seal).. Features a facsimile signature of General Lloyd J. Austin III below the flag.. The outer dark green ring is inscribed with "GENERAL LLOYD J. AUSTIN III" and four white stars over a red field.

Reverse: Highlights the historical US Army Seal/Emblem inside the pentagonal cutout.. Features a armor corslet, cannons, mortars, flags, and a Continental Army snake holding the motto banner "THIS WE'LL DEFEND" over the founding year "1775". The outer crimson ring reads "PRESENTED BY THE 33RD / VICE CHIEF OF STAFF OF THE ARMY".
