Puck chromolithograph is from 1884.

I re-enforced/repaired a few closed splits on the Puck print (14x10) and one on the clipping “War Strength” (13x10).

Puck print titled “As Our Daily Press Gets Cheaper, It’s “Attractions” Grow Greater”

The cartoon satirizes the sensationalism of the late 19th-century American press, as newspapers became cheaper and focused more on scandalous and lurid stories to attract readers.

The large vulture labeled "THE KLYNEWS PAPER" represents the predatory nature of sensationalist journalism, feeding on scandals like "The Great Smith and Jones Scandal" and "An Elopement in High Life".

The smaller scenes at the bottom show people engrossed in reading these sensational newspapers, highlighting the public's appetite for such content.

“Relative War Strength Of France & Germany” is from the esteemed Victorian Newspaper THE GRAPHIC, February 5th 1887 Edition.
