Box Lot of 18 pieces of Ephemera from The Kelsey Press Company
Kelsey Press started in the late 1870's and largely advertised the personal aspects of table top letter press - for business or hobby. This collection of ephemera gives a broad array of their correspondence from type pricing with examples to encouraging hobbyists to print their own media. They enclosed multi-color printing that had been done on a Kelsey Press. Probably came with the press, which were often sold in popular magazines for boys, etc.

2. Advertisement flyer for a case to hold the 3x5 Press -Fine.

4. Neighborhood printer flyer - creased, offset due to other materials. Good.
5. The Kelsey Press Company thank you letter -creased vertically, one corner creased. Good.

9. How to Select Your Press and Outfit - folded informational brochure, printed in black and red, Included type examples and a Christmas cut. Back page includes pricing. Heavy vertical crease. Good.
10. Kelsey Press Window Envelope - Postmarked 1935 Meriden, Conn. One cent stamp cancelled. Good.
11. Tri-fold Advertising "Start Now" - Red and black print, offset due to other materials. . Unused order form in lower corner. Very Good.
12. Catalog Mailing Envelope - used, cancelled 1c stamp. Original mailing label. Good.
13. Kelsey Press Window Envelope -small advert affixed to the gum on the envelope- Postmarked 1935, cancelled 1 cent stamp. Advert for small press work stuck. - Good.
14. Full sheet advertising page for Type - different fonts, types and rules. Folded in half then in thirds. Good.
15. Have You a Hobby? A four page brochure emphasizing that "every man should have a hobby" & "form a partnership with your boy" folded once horizontally. Near Fine
16. How to get started sheet advert. Tri-fold. Near Fine
17. "My Printing Press Saved My Neck!" Tri-fold advert. Offset on the lower part of the page due to other materials. . Red and Black Print. Good.
18. The Kelsey Press Co Letter on official letterhead. This is a follow up letter to the catalog request. Dated January 14, 1935 Printed in Green, Red & Black. Tri-fold Fine.

All our packages are wrapped well. This has been a mark of excellence for us for years. Each item is wrapped in plain white paper and taped shut. Then two pieces of cardboard sandwich your item and the item is secured to the cardboard with wide packing tape. The cardboard is then wrapped with a second piece of plain white paper and well taped on all edges and seams. You can be confident that any item you purchase from us will be well packaged and secure.
If you return an item to us, we expect the item to be packaged this way for the return simply keep your packaging and turn the outer layer inside out and re-wrap.
