Ceramic Sculpture King, Queen and Sculpture by John Maltby

John Maltby (1936 to 2020) is a British studio potter and sculptor who trained under David Leach before setting up his own studio in Devon. He has a distinctive style of pots and wooden painted mobiles (usually of harbour scenes and boats) that came to an end in 1996 after major heart surgery. His creative direction changed to sculpture when he could no longer prepare clay in the way he wanted for pots.

This piece is of a King and Queen standing next to what is described as a sculpture on a plinth. It is named but not dated.

It is in good condition with no cracks or damage (see photos). Note postage includes insurance up to £2500.
