David Howard Jones Large Vase

David Howard Jones (born 1953) is much underrated. He designs and makes beautiful pots using the Raku technique where red-hot pots are dropped into often combustible materials to form random iridescent finishes. 

This is a large ovoid asymmetric vase which exhibits a craquelure finish along with the iridescent waves of colour and matt areas. It has a few minor nibbles (see photos) that do not detract from the otherwise excellent condition.
