Early Troika Rectangular Vase

Troika produced decorative abstract pottery between 1963 and 1983. This is a early St Ives piece which is crude and heavy. It has sgraffito on all four sides. The mark is probably by Sylvia Valance who worked for Troika from 1966 to 1970.

There are no chips or cracks on the vase. There is internal crazing and a hairline visible on the inside that starts to go through the rim.
