This is a self propelled Lionel gang car produced for a number of years: 1954 through 1964. Variations are common, this one has the small silver horn on the right side of its front. The original cardboard box has a liner to hold the car in place for protection. The box is complete with no tape repair, but it shows effects of shelf and handling wear particularly with one pushed in corner. There is writing on one end, presumably the original retail price. The original instruction sheet is dated 10-54. It is complete, is not torn and no tape repair. As mentioned above, there is some wear showing on the wheels and pickup roller. These gang cars run slowly and noisily. I ran it on an oval of track and it operates properly, forward and in reverse.

This little gang car has not been run for many years until I placed it on an oval of test track recently. If you intend to operate it you should give it lubrication.

I recently completed and then downsized a layout. The layout did not accommodate all the items I've collected for over 40 years. I am now listing items from the Lionel postwar era after selling most of the modern pieces that that I chose to dispose of over the past two years. Conditions vary from Like New in the box to Used. I am a long time member of TCA and LCCA train clubs and am fairly new to the sell side of eBay. My goal is to have satisfied buyers so write to me with any problems or questions you may have.

If practical because of box sizes, etc., I will combine shipping for buyers who win more than one item. If you are high bidder for more than one item, please wait for an invoice from me before paying. In such case, I will calculate shipping for a single package which will be less, of course, than that for two or more smaller packages.

Thank you for viewing my listings.
