Description

Martin D-28 2009 Used Acoustic Guitar

This instrument is a used 2009 D-28 Standard. It features older specifications, such as a 42.9mm nut width low-profile neck and center-shifted non-scalloped bracing, and the neck is made of mahogany.

The specifications are: Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood sides & back, select hardwood neck, ebony fingerboard & bridge, 42.9mm nut width, 645mm scale, C.F. Martin logo tuners, and a black pickguard—all predating the current D-28 specifications that were updated in 2017.

The sound has plenty of volume and a well-balanced tone from high to low frequencies. It doesn't have the stiffness of a brand-new instrument, making it very easy to play.

It possesses the volume for powerful playing while also responding well to delicate touches—a testament to Martin's craftsmanship. The D-28's greatest appeal lies in its rich and dynamic sound, which is why it's considered an eternal masterpiece.

Overall, it shows signs of use commensurate with its age. While there are no major scratches, cracks, or repair marks, there are buckle scratches and dents in various places.

The neck is straight, and the string height is optimally set at 2.6mm on the 6th string and 1.9mm on the 1st string. The frets have plenty of life left, and the truss rod has plenty of adjustment range.
