This silver plated crumb dish, made by Sheffield in the USA, is a fine example of American silver craftsmanship. Silverplate on copper (EPC). Produced mid-century by Sheffield Silver Company, Brooklyn, NY. Pattern Number 25 Decorated with coat of arms featuring two unicorns, a shield and a raised fist bearing a dagger. Came into use somewhere between 1919 and 1974. The letters E, C and P in squares indicate ElectroPlated on Copper. Measurements 4 1/2 " x 3 " x 3/4 " deep Condition Excellent. No flaws detected. Some light tarnish may be present. Rubbed with polishing cloth.
This may be a wonderful adornment to a wedding table to display seating cards... or could be used as a mahjong shuffler!
