Up for sale is a Nintendo “AV” New Famicom Console (HVC-101).
This listing includes the RGB Famicom, an OEM “dogbone” Famicom controller, a copy of Super Mario USA, a 72 pin to 62 pin cartridge converter, a new power supply, and an OEM composite cable. The converter allows NES games to work with the Famicom.
This Famicom has been updated to output RGB video with Tim Worthington’s new NESRGB 5.0 version installed. This new version adds an on screen menu for pallet controls, and other options. This console can output RGB video via a Nintendo Multiport scart or component cable, S-Video via a Multiport S-Video cable, and standard composite with a Multiport composite (RCA) cable. This RGB update is compatible with HD Retrovision’s component cable, and Retro Access’ Scart cable. Multiple pallets can be selected via controller commands, and the console can be reset by the controller as well. The capacitors have been replaced with Nichicon capacitors, and a new power regulator was installed. A power indicator LED has also been added.
Pictures of game images are intended to give examples of picture quality. Only game listed as included in the listing will be included with this purchase.
The console has been tested and works great.
The Famicom is in good condition. The shell of the console may have slight yellowing, which is common with older Nintendo products, and other lights signs of use.
I have performed AV updates on hundreds of Nintendo consoles. Buy with confidence.
