A wonderful reproduction after the 18th century Piranesi original. I believe this to be a lithograph rather than an etching as the original series was. I am however not an expert on printing technology so please check the images to see for yourself. I am happy to answer any questions should you have them. I am unsure of age and can't see any indication on the piece itself but I would guess it is 20th century. Again I do stress that is a guess. It is in fairly nice condition. The paper is generally nice and bright with no foxing etc. There are a few light edge bumps and a couple of fairly minor spots of discolouration to the border as shown but if matted and framed these would be obviously be hidden. If you look carefully you can see there are a couple of really light vertical creases running through the paper. This has been stored rolled and these are not true creases as you can see. I would imagine than when framed these would be pressed flat by the matte. The paper measures 30" x 21", image size is obviously smaller than this but it is still a large and impressive piece.
