DISNEYLAND VINTAGE Jigsaw Puzzles. Set of 3. © 1965 100% complete Mickey, Goofy, Donald and friends. GENUINE RETRO ORIGINAL.
These 3 vintage Disney jigsaw puzzles are from 1965, so they're around 61 years old! Full colour. They all feature Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto. Others characters such as Chip 'n' Dale, Jiminy Cricket, Scamp, Mickey's nephews Morty and Ferdie, Donald's nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie, Scrooge McDuck, And Daisy's niece June Duck also feature in various of them.
They are all fun, lively scenes that Disney fans - children and adults alike - will love, and the puzzles really look almost like new. They are titled: Fun On The Beach, Donald's Classroom, and Mickey's Garage.
All come with their original corresponding box. They are made by Tower Press (a member of Guitreman Group of Companies), in England. All © 1965. Just the one owner.
Having made each 1 up (please see my pictures, above), I can confirm they are all 100% complete - all have 140 pieces each.
They are genuine vintage originals from the period. Made of durable card. It states on each box: "140 medium size pieces Disneyland Jig-Saw No. 3916 Size Of Puzzle [when made up] approx. 37 x 24 cm (14.50" x 9.50")". These 3 original puzzles are part of a set of 4 (the other being Peter Pan's Pic-Nic puzzle - which I do not have).
They have been stored away in a cupboard for many years out of daylight and dust, so the colours on the puzzle pieces and each box are very good and vibrant. The puzzles are in very good, neat, clean, tidy condition. A very few pieces in each puzzle (maybe 3 or 4), have just a little creasing somewhere on them - this is minor. The original boxes are neat, clean, and tidy. Beach and Garage puzzle boxes are complete; both have a tear to the box that is clear to see. Classroom box is very nearly complete (has part of a small closing-flap missing); a little of another flap has a little paper surface-covering missing. They all have some light wear and tear to them. (I have many other vintage jigsaw puzzles, some going as far back as the 1950s. Subjects include Gerry Anderson's Stingray and Thunderbirds, Batman and Robin (1966), Tarzan (1966), Skippy The Bush Kangaroo (early 1970s), Blue Peter (1970s), Yogi Bear (with Huckleberry Hound and other friends), Noddy, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, beautiful cottage scene (1950s), cowboys/western, cats, dogs, cartoon animals, horses, clowns, fairground cartoon animal scene, traction engine, planes, cars and much more. Some wooden, some card. I will add as time allows (I need to make them up again to be certain they are complete or not, and some have hundreds of pieces)!
Not suitable for children 4 years or under, due to small parts and the danger of choking. Adult supervision advised with young children.
Each puzzle will be placed (dismantled) in a plastic bag (along with its original box), placed in another cello bag, and wrapped very carefully and well in a cardboard box, with plenty of strong packaging materials for protection in the post.
