The Model

A 1:43 scale diecast model of the 1950 Buick Super convertible by Solido (France), from the Age d'Or series, reference 4512. Finished in maroon with a cream closed soft-top and cream interior. Supplied on the moulded Solido base with the clear display cover.

Condition

Pre-owned and previously displayed. The model presents very well, with glossy maroon paintwork, bright chrome to the grille, bumpers and trim, the cream top and bonnet mascot in place, and whitewall tyres. There is some light dust on the model. The cream display base shows some age-related discolouration and the clear cover has light scuffing. The Real Car

The 1950 Buick Super was a full-size American car powered by a straight-eight engine. The model year is recognisable by Buick's toothy "bucktooth" grille and the row of three "VentiPorts" on the front wings. The Super sat in Buick's mid-range, above the Special and below the Roadmaster.
