💡 DRIVE REPLACEMENT & COST INFO:
To get this machine fully operational, it simply needs an operating system and an M.2 NVMe SSD installed. The system originally used a Western Digital PC SN520 256GB M.2 2230 NVMe SSD (as seen in one of the listing images), which can easily be replaced on eBay for around $25 to $30. However, you are not locked into that specific model. The motherboard features adjustable mounting brackets that natively support both the compact M.2 2230 size and the standard, full-length M.2 2280 size. If you are looking to upgrade, you can pick up a brand new, highly affordable 256GB or 512GB M.2 NVMe SSD (Gen 3 or Gen 4) on Amazon from brands like Crucial or Silicon Power for $20 to $35, slot it right in, and be ready to install Windows or Linux immediately.
