Author: Thomas Ingoldsby: illustrated by Arthur Rackham
Publisher: J M Dent & Co., London
A very good copy of this edition, larger and with more illustrations than the 1898 first edition. Pages are xix, 549, and there are 24 tipped-in colour plates, all with printed tissue guards, 12 tinted plates and 66 other line drawings. Original publisher's green cloth binding, gilt titles and illustration to front board and spine, pictorial endpapers, top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Wear externally is minimal, title page (with faded gift inscription dated 1907) is slightly foxed from the tissue guard, the rest of the pages and plates are very clean and the binding is sound.
