Author: V S Vernon Jones (translator): illustrated by Arthur Rackham
Publisher: William Heinemann London: Doubleday Page & Co New York, 1912 first edition
A very bright copy of this first trade edition, published at the same time as a limited edition deluxe copy. Pictorial green cloth (no dust jacket was issued - the American edition had a pasted on pictorial cover), top edge green, pictorial endpapers, pages are xxix, [1], 224. 13 colour plates with printed tissue guards, as called for, and 51 black and white illustrations, some full page down to vignettes. Foxing to the first few leaves and the last two (including endpapers), very small black mark on rear boards, otherwise this is a fine copy, about the best you are likely to find.
