Description: This beautiful liqueur/schnapps bottle with the pewter screw-on cap was mouth-blown of glass in Germany. This is the traditional form of a schnapps bottle that was produced in Germany from the early 1700s to the 1900s.

The glass has bubbles inside that tell me of an old manual production. 

The bottle is hand-painted with beautiful naive art enamel decorations made in black, or rather, very dark magenta enamel.

It shows a gentleman by a house, shooting birds in a tree with a rifle. There are also floral ornaments on top and on the side. The back of the bottle shows the inscription:

"Ihr Herrn Schützen kommt herein, ich gibench gutes glas Wein." 
(Come in, gentlemen marksmen, I'll give you a good glass of wine)

The inscription is dated 1766. I don't know if this is the actual production date or just text used for decorative purposes. The style of the letters and numbers is consistent with the date, and the pewter shows patina at least 100 years old.

The bottle is in excellent condition with a very minor ding on the pewter cap.

It is 8" tall to the top of the cap.
