Item up for bid is an incredible antique Sessions branded mantel clock that was found with a Sessions pendulum with no key so new owner will need to provide their own key. We tested this piece with our master key ( NOT included) and it ran for a few moments before coming to a halt. When clock is manually moved around the gears would begin turning and the clock would tick. The chime sounded with the chime not matching the position of the hands so chime will need an adjustment. Clock will require mechanical adjustment, repair, and / or cleaning to function as intended. 

Wooden body shows heavy finish wear and loss with crazing and scratches throughout with wood showing light wear around edges and corners consistent with age and use. Wood exhibits no cracks or breaks. Glass in the dial door shows light surface wear from age and use with no chips, cracks or breaks. Dial itself shows yellowing with surface crazing present. Original hands are in place. All original feet are present. Original label is affixed to the interior of the door with paper showing yellowing and patina consistent with age. Label is marked in handwriting with a number of " 240 " with a stamped number on the label of " 28 12 ". Interior of the door shows old handwriting from the original owner or perhaps a service technician from many years ago.

Brass movement and all metal hardware shows tarnish and patina consistent with age and would benefit from a detail cleaning and polish. Brass movement has no maker's mark we can see though Sessions were usually marked on the dial side. Item as a whole shows soiling and patina to interior and exterior and would benefit from a detail cleaning and polish throughout. Clock body measures 13-1/8" top to bottom by 8-3/4" wide across the base by 4-1/2" in depth ( front to back) at the base.

Incredible timepiece that comes fresh to the market from a recent estate buyout where it sat stored away from decades before just now seeing the light of day again. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
