An impressively sized and meticulously executed American Frohse pulldown anatomical chart depicting the human ear and eye, published by A.J. Nystrom & Co. Chicago. (d.1918)

This is Plate No. 5 in an influential series of large, highly detailed colour lithographs initiated by German anatomist and doctor Fritz Frohse. Annotated in English, and edited, revised, and augmented by famed medical illustrator Max Brödel. Presented on heavy canvas backed paper on a wooden spar and spring roller with contrasting black canvas trim and metal mounting ring with ties.
