Item Details

The Real Car

The Sauber-Mercedes C9 was the Group C sports-prototype run by Peter Sauber's team with Mercedes-Benz backing. In 1989, in silver "Silver Arrow" colours, it dominated the World Sportscar Championship, with Jean-Louis Schlesser taking the drivers' title, and a sister C9 won the Le Mans 24 Hours that year. The #1 car modelled here is the Schlesser/Mass championship entry.
