The Vela model was PRS's first development of an offset body. The offset-shaped body, with its somewhat retro design, is made of mahogany, and combined with a mahogany Pattern Regular-shaped neck, it achieves a stable sound and reliable playability.
The treble pickup is a clear and attack-oriented PRS DS-01 humbucker, and the bass pickup is a PRS Narrowfield, characterized by its warm yet biting sound. Whether directly plugged into an amp or combined with a variety of pedals, it produces a wide range and a dynamic sound with sharp edges.
The bridge is a plate style, and combined with PRS's standard locking tuners, it provides stable tuning and a direct, resonant acoustic sound. Overall, it shows minimal signs of use, with some tarnishing on the metal parts, but is in excellent condition with no issues in playability or fretwork.
