Lighting & Color: Coins are photographed under bright LED or natural light to ensure visibility of fine details. This may make some items appear more illuminated than they look in hand.
Tone & Luster: Copper and bronze coins, in particular, may appear darker or more brown in person than they do in the photos.
Magnification: Most images are enlarged 20x to 50x their actual size. Some details visible in these high-resolution photos may not be seen with the naked eye; I recommend using a magnifying glass to examine the item upon receipt.
Wear & Tear: While I strive for accuracy, photography may not capture every microscopic surface scratch or sign of natural wear.
Condition & Grading Standards
Subjective Opinion: For all uncertified (non-graded) coins, any description of condition or grade is strictly my personal opinion.
Cleaning History: I do not clean any coins myself. However, because older coins often change hands many times, it is possible they were cleaned by previous owners.
Expert Assessment: My assessment of whether a coin has been cleaned is based solely on my professional observation of its current appearance.
