Vintage Orvis
Fly Fishing Zinger Retractor Brown Composite 1970s/1980s Hong Kong (This posting is for a single zinger. I have 2 available. Select quantity at checkout. Both are shown in the photo so you can pick which of the two you want if it matters.)
This is my dad’s authentic, vintage Orvis tool retractor (zinger) in the rare, classic deep
brown colorway. This earth-tone composite version features the iconic
serif-style "Orvis" logo insert
on the front and is stamped "HONG KONG"
on the reverse plate, dating it cleanly to the late 1970s or 1980s production
era.
These brown
composite variants are incredibly popular among heritage tackle collectors
because they perfectly match the aesthetic of vintage canvas packs, tan wading
vests, and leather fly gear from that era.
