Near mint example of a German WWII NCO sword with knot made by the prestigious Eickhorn firm in Solingen.
This sword has the longest blade of any sword I’ve owned, with an overall length of 46 inches and a blade length of more than 36”. Clearly for a very tall individual. The blade is flawless, with the Eickhorn trademark cleanly stamped under the langet, and has a perfect point with no blunting.
The original black scabbard paint is still glossy with only one small area of rubbing on the edge above the drag (please see all pics). The knot is very nice and correct for the sword. It has clearly been in place for many years, with a bit of fraying where it ties around the handguard. Great example of Solingen craftsmanship.
Lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
Great collecting!
Shipping/tracking/insurance will be $25 in the US, as I’ll need to get a 48” box to ship. Overseas at actual cost.
