The Nikon L Plan 40x/0.65 is an infinity-corrected plan achromat objective designed for use with Nikon's Eclipse LV series and compatible industrial upright microscopes. Built to the CFI60 optical standard with an M25 x 0.75 thread mount, it delivers a flat, well-corrected field of view across a 25 mm optical field number (OFN25) with a working distance of 1.0 mm — notably longer than many standard 40x objectives. The light-blue colour band identifies it as a dry, cover-glass-free objective, making it well suited for brightfield inspection of semiconductor wafers, PCBs, flat glass, and other uncovered specimens.
