Relic'd Cimar Parts-Caster Strat Style Electric Guitar.

Here we have an early 80s strat copy made by a company called Cimar. They were a Japanese company around in the 70s, and by the very early 80s, they were done.
Doing a little research, I think the body wood is poplar. Mahogany was also used by Cimar, and its definitely not that.
Weightwise he's a shade over 3kgs. Weighty enough to know he's there.
I was looking for a different look for this build, and kept coming across these cut down pickguards with the pickups exposed and screwed down into the cavities, so I thought I'd give it a go.
The rugged, pared down look, coupled with the relic, does give it a cool look.
Pickups and controls are your standard single coils running through a five-way selector switch and your typical volume/tone/tone controls.

The clip is me giving a go at a Georgia Satellites riff, 'All over but the crying'.

You can hear the punchy twang aided by the cut down Tele style bridge.
The bridge is a top loading unit as the guitar is a full solid body which doesn't have the cutout for the strat type trem unit, springs and claw.
All my builds use a mix of new and used parts to keep a recycling/upcycling theme going on.
The new are the bridge and strap lugs. Everything else has been raided from my parts bins.
All my builds would look great hanging on the wall, but they are fully functioning guitars that are really there to pick up and play.

Please feel free to message any questions or even make me an offer. Many thanks for taking the time to have a look.
